Delete your Nilai account

This page explains how to delete your Nilai account and what data is removed.

Nilai is built so you stay in control of your data. You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time, either from inside the app or by contacting us.

If you use the offline (free) tier

The free tier does not require an account, and your readings live only on your device. To remove the data:

  • Inside the app, open Settings and use Clear local data, or
  • Uninstall Nilai from your device. On Android, you can also clear app data from Settings → Apps → Nilai → Storage.

If you use the cloud (premium) tier

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)

  1. Open Nilai and sign in with the account you want to delete.
  2. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account.
  3. Re-enter your password to confirm. This step is required by Firebase to verify it is really you.
  4. Tap Delete my account. Your readings, images, profile, and login credentials are removed.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you no longer have access to the app or your device, send an email to mail@antosubash.com from the email address associated with your Nilai account, with the subject line “Nilai account deletion request”.

Please include:

  • The email address used to sign in.
  • A short statement confirming you want your account and data deleted.

We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email when it is done.

What gets deleted

  • Your Firebase Authentication account (email and credentials).
  • All your readings (blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, notes, etc.) stored in Firestore.
  • All photos and OCR images you uploaded, stored in Firebase Cloud Storage.
  • Your profile information (name, demographics, preferences).
  • Any subscription or tier metadata linked to your account.

What may be retained

  • Anonymous diagnostic and analytics data (Crashlytics and Analytics) that cannot be linked back to you is kept by Firebase for up to 14 months under their default retention.
  • Records we are legally required to keep, such as payment receipts (if you ever purchased a subscription), may be retained for the period mandated by Austrian and EU law.

This action is permanent

Account deletion cannot be undone. Once your data is removed from Firestore and Cloud Storage, we cannot recover it. If you want a copy of your readings, export them from the app first (Settings → Export data) before deleting your account.
