Mozhi

Delete your Mozhi data

What there is to delete, and how to delete it.

There is no account

Mozhi has no sign-in, no user account, and no server. Nothing about you is stored anywhere except on your own phone, so there is no account for us to close and no records for us to erase on your behalf. Deleting your data is entirely in your hands, and it takes a few seconds.

What the app stores on your device

  • Which drill questions you answered, and whether you got them right
  • Your vocabulary deck and its review schedule
  • Articles you have opened, and which you have read
  • Your settings — theme, daily review cap

All of it lives in a database inside the app’s private storage. No copy of it exists anywhere else.

How to delete it

Option 1 — Reset from inside the app

  1. Open Mozhi and tap the gear icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Scroll to Data and tap Reset all progress.
  3. Confirm.

This erases every attempt, your whole vocabulary deck, and the read state of any articles. The app stays installed and the German content it ships with stays in place, so you can start again immediately.

Option 2 — Uninstall the app

Uninstalling removes the database with it. On Android you can also clear it without uninstalling, from Settings → Apps → Mozhi → Storage → Clear storage.

This action is permanent

Neither route can be undone, and neither can be recovered by us — there is no backup, because there is no server. If your review history matters to you, be sure before you tap.

What is retained afterwards

Nothing. There are no analytics, no crash reports and no server-side records to retain, so there is no retention period to quote.

The one exception is outside the app: if you installed Mozhi from Google Play, Google keeps its own record of that install under their privacy policy, not ours.
